Abstract
The world is facing a monumental civilizational change with digital transformation, and digital technologies have established themselves as the foundation of economic and social innovation. We can create what we want using artificial intelligence services, search and disseminate news from around the world anytime, anywhere with smartphones and the internet. Acquiring and using AI/digital technology effectively is not only a competitive advantage for individuals but also a driving force across national industries, economies, and societies.However, with the advancement of AI/digital technologies, the world is encountering new challenges such as a digital divide and the underrepresentation of developing countries and civilizations in advanced AI models. The future generations unable to access digital technologies may lose even educational opportunities, leading to digital exclusion that could result in social disparities.
This session aims to discuss ways to maximize the benefits of digital technology innovation while ensuring these benefits are shared by all justly and fairly. The session will feature keynote presentations on introduction of the Korean government's policy, 'Establishing a New Digital Order,' and the process of social discourse to implement a digital society of a shared prosperity and to enhance digital rights, and on solving global digital issues through international cooperation, followed by a chair-led discussion. Through the presentations and discussions, participants will explore several issues of the digital age, ensuring fundamental rights in digital society, fostering continuous innovation, and preparing for the future society through global collaboration.

• Introduction to the Digital Rights: Showcasing policies and initiatives from various nations aimed at enhancing digital rights and bridging the digital divide, with a particular emphasis on ensuring equal access to digital resources and protecting digital identities.
• Ensuring Fundamental Values in the Digital Age: Discussing the core values that must be maintained in the digital age, such as privacy, freedom of expression, and access to information, and the strategies needed to uphold these values amid technological advancements.
• Sustainable Innovation in the Digital Age: Exploring the challenges (e.g. the copyright issues and the scope of data asset protection, etc.) that existing laws and systems may struggle to accommodate, posed by the development and use of generative AI. Discussing the efforts that is needed to embrace these changes and lead a successful digital transformation.
• Preparation for the Age of Digital Age: Identifying the concerns and side effects (e.g. deepfake-generated fake news and AI safety issues, etc.) of the deepened digital society led by the development of digital technology. Discussing the effective responses for addressing these concerns and protecting individuals and society from them.
• Approach to Global Cooperation: Highlighting the importance of global cooperation among governments, international organizations, companies, and citizens to bring visible benefits of the digital technology for all. Sharing the idea of roles that each of governments, international organizations, companies, and citizens should play to realize shared rosperity for all.
